Light Words

LET. THERE. BE. LIGHT.

Sometimes we forget how precious, how powerful our words are.

We might forget what a gift it is to live and breathe and have a voice in the world today.

Three of the most powerful words ever spoken:

Let there be . . .

Every day the content of our conversation exists as some framing of these three small but very powerful words.

What exactly are you letting be?

What kind of atmosphere are you releasing into the earth?

I want to invite you to speak light and to speak life.

Let there be . . .

Light

The entrance of His Word brings . . .  Psalm 119:30

Light.

Illumination.

Revelation.

When the light goes on -

We have something to stand under.  Proverbs 4:7

That the eyes of your understanding be enlightened. Ephesians 1:18

This is our primary prayer.

It is the heart and foundation of all effective prayer.

For us to see what God sees we must hear what he has to say.

Open ears to him means our ears must be closed to all else.

Then obedience can take place.

Hearing must equal obeying.

We haven’t heard if we haven’t obeyed.  James 1:22

Fix your eyes on Jesus. The Light.

The author and finisher. Hebrews 12:2

In the light - in his light -  our story will be written from beginning to the end.

When true understanding occurs true knowing occurs.

I can never be known by the Lord if I do not stand under the revelation of His Word.

I will always be hiding something. Never fully known or allowing my heart to be known by Him.  Genesis 3:9

What an amazing place of rest that can be found walking and living in full transparency.

Truly being known by the Lord.

Living as a vessel and releaser of His kind of light and life.

This is our challenge.

One of our daily crosses.

To exchange our version of truth for His.

To our discomfort.

For his eternal glory.

So be it.
